Sunday Funday is a weekly-ish post hosted by Girl in the Pages that allows us bloggers to recap our week, whether it be about books or about not so book-ish things.
This week was sort of exciting book wise. My order of the Infernal Devices box set finally came in the mail, which makes me very happy! Now, I’ve already read (and re-read) this series but I’ve never owned them in physical book form and I have to own my favorite triology, right?
Every year my school’s performing arts center holds a fundraiser at our local Barnes and Noble, where all the different music groups (including choirs, jazz bands, orchestra ensembles, and the marching band) perform during the day. It’s such a great fundraiser, a fun event for a book lover like me. I actually didn’t buy any new books then, but I think I’m going to be getting a new Nook for Christmas because my parents asked me which one I wanted while we were there. 🙂
I also recently finished The Retribution of Mara Dyer, which I will be reviewing soon because it was such a great book and a nice ending to a series. Next up I plan on reading All the Light We Cannot See and finishing up The Book Thief (both for school projects), so sorry Crown of Midnight, but you’ll have to wait.
It’s been really nice having time to just relax, drink some hot cocoa and read a good book, but those blissful times will be ending for me soon. I recently auditioned for my school’s musical’s pit orchestra and made it in! There’s a lot of practices coming up, starting in January, but it shouldn’t affect my blogging too much.
Anyways, I hope you guys have been well and that you’re looking forward to the new year or whatever holiday you celebrate. Keep being awesome.
