November is upon us, and that also means NaNoWriMo is upon us! I can’t believe it’s already November, where has this year gone? I’ve been so excited to start writing my novel and I’m currently sitting at around 500ish words and I’m loving it so far. Also, I finally did my halftime show (it was postponed by two weeks) Friday night and I’m still exhausted from that, so great way to start NaNo!
BOOKS
Oh boy… I didn’t do so good this month. I read a total of four books and one e-novella. I honestly doubt my reading will be better this month with NaNo, but I’m going to try! On a quick side note, I changed my reading goal on Goodreads from 70 books to 60 and now I feel a lot less pressured!
Books I read are…
- Good Intentions by Pembroke Sinclair | Review
- Paper Towns by John Green | Review
- The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan | Review
- Born to Endless Night by Cassandra Clare (Shadowhunter Academy #9)
- Binge by Tyler Oakley
I also finally saw the Paper Towns movie and loved it, even though I despised the book! Normally, I don’t read memoirs or funny books like Binge, but I decided to try it out and I absolutely loved it. Reading it felt like watching a Tyler Oakley video. I’m about half way through The Reluctant Sacrifice and Scarlet, so expect reviews for those soon!
BLOGGING
I had a really nice blogging month until last week when my personal life kind of exploded, but things are getting back on track now. I’m going to try and get up weekly NaNo posts just to talk about how NaNo is going and discuss it with other writers, I have some reviews that need to happen soon and I will still forever be behind on tags. I’m hoping November will be a good month!
LOOKING AHEAD…
As I’m American, I’m very excited for Thanksgiving this month (I hope Canadians had a good Thanksgiving!) because it’s honestly one of my favorite holidays. A bunch of my friends, including my brother, have birthdays in November so it should be fun to celebrate with all of them too!
Reading wise, I don’t have much of a plan. I think I’m just going to try and read as much as I can without feeling too stressed, so we’ll have to see how everything goes!
I hope you all had a wonderful month and that my fellow writers are just as excited for NaNo as I am! It’s also getting close to the time of getting excited for the winter holidays. Funny story, I went shopping for a Halloween costume and I alreayd saw Christmas decorations out for sale, which is ridiculous.
Omg, I have yet to read Sword of Summer but I’m hoping to buy it very soon! How did you like Binge? I don’t usually read Youtuber books but this one seems quite funny. Good luck on NaNo 🙂

Ooh I liked Sword of Summer! I’m the same way, I don’t really read Youtuber books but I really enjoyed Binge! Maybe I’ll have to write a full review for it…
