Hello everyone and welcome to another Tea Time Talk! Today I want to discuss mostly my absence from the bookish world lately, which saddens me deeply. While I have been in a bit of a blogging/reading slump recently, there has been another mishap in my life that’s thrown me off quite a bit, especially when it comes to reading.
Last Tuesday, on the 15th I broke my left collarbone, a clean break right near the left edge. How in the world did I manage to do that you may ask! It comes with being a naturally clumsy person, but I was rock climbing indoors, and I was leading (a climbing term for climbing when you clip into the wall as you climb) and slipped and fell with a good amount of slack in the line. My leg got tangled in the rope on my way down and I was flipped upside down and the full force of my fall was taken by my shoulder and head. The fall fractured my clavicle, luckily my head was perfectly fine, but it has been an adjustment.
With one working shoulder/hand you quickly realize what a two handed world we live in! Everything, even some of the simplest things are slightly more difficult… which includes reading. I’m still currently reading Lady Midnight, but it just doesn’t seem to grabbing my attention as well as I’ve hoped. Mostly I’ve been stuck at home watching TV now, although I’m about halfway through season 2 of Downton Abbey and loving it. Also casually been watching the pokemon movies because I’m obviously an adult.
I really really don’t want to get too behind on my reading and blogging and want to keep up with all of the fabulous content you all are putting out, so now I have a question for you all! Do you have any quirky, fun books for the tough days? What books have helped you get out of a slump? I’d love to know and hopefully I’ll be back on a regular blogging schedule again as soon as I can.
Omg that’s terrible!! I hope you heal quickly!! I’m not sure if you’ve read them, but the first fun books that come to mind are the Anna and The French Kiss trilogy by Stephanie Perkins. 🙂

Thank you! I might just have to end up doing that. There’s never a bad time to reread Harry Potter, right? 😉
