The Sims Book Tag | Book Tag Sunday

Book Tag- Sims

Hello all, and welcome to a new feature on my blog! It’s Book Tag Sunday, because I miss doing book tags so much. I also wanted a certain day to do tags, so here we go. Recently, I haven’t been blogging (partly due because I was on vacation in New York) or reading. Not going to lie, it’s mostly because I got obsessed with playing Sims 4 again. So, obviously I have to do the Sims Book Tag!

The tag was created by Hails Hearts Nyc on YouTube, and I’m hecka pumped to get this tag rolling.

THE ORIGINAL SIMS- BEST AUTHOR DEBUT

the hate u give

Without a doubt, it has to be The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. I finished this a little bit ago, and I am completely in love with it. This book was one of the best books I’ve read in a while, and everyone needs to read it. PS- Keep your eyes out for a review coming soon!

THE GRIM REAPER- THE SADDEST CHARACTER DEATH

blood-for-bloog

How does one pick? Authors just love to kill off all our favorite characters, and there have been so many sad deaths. However, I’ll have to pick a character from Blood for Blood by Ryan Graudin. I’m not telling you the character name because, spoilers (duh), but if you’ve read the book… YOU KNOW.

SIMS GETTING STUCK- A CHARACTER THAT JUST GOT IN THE WAY

the selection

Ah, throw back to Sims 3 in all of its glitchy glory. For me, a character that was constantly getting in the way was Aspen from The Selection. The worst character ever. Please just let America and Maxon be happy, okay?

SIMLISH- A BOOK WITH AMAZING WRITING

the night circus

Okay, I’m in the middle of this book write now, but I’m amazed by the writing. The book is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern! I’m so glad everyone has been telling me to read this book, because it’s gorgeous (inside and out).

EXPANSION PACKS- A SERIES WHERE THE BOOKS KEEP GETTING BETTER AND BETTER

city of bones

Ooooh, definitely The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. Honestly, City of Bones is a pretty rough book, but the series gets so good. If you gave up after City of Bones or City of Ashes, I highly recommend continuing on. Once you read City of Heavenly Fire, you’ll thank me.

SIMS ROMANCE- THE WORST CASE OF INSTALOVE

heartless

Hopefully this isn’t a too controversial pick, but I have to go with Heartless by Marissa Meyer on this. There was a severe lack of relationship development before the romance came along.

CHEATS- A CONTEMPORARY BOOK THAT WAS ENTIRELY UNREALISTIC

Honestly, this is how I feel about most contemporary books haha. I’ll just skip this one, because every book isn’t actually an answer.

NEEDS FULFILLMENT- A CHARACTER WHO MADE ALL THE WRONG DECISIONS

Oh my gosh. DEFINITELY Aelin Galathynius (I just spelt her last name without Googling it *self-five*), especially in Empire of Storms. It’s really not that hard to just tell people things, Aelin. So many wrong decisions, so little patience.

ERROR CODE 12- A SERIES THAT STARTED OFF GREAT THEN WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE

throne of glass

Well, while we’re on the topic…

THE SIMS VORTEX- A BOOK/SERIES THAT COMPLETELY ENGROSSED YOU

six of crows

Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. This series is 100% perfect, and if you haven’t read it yet, you’re missing out! The characters, plot, romance, world, and writing are all so phenomenal.

I TAG…

Whoever wishes to do this! This tag has been around for a long time, so I’ll leave it up to you. I hope you enjoyed this tag (even if you didn’t get all the references), and I’ll talk to you next Sunday with a new tag!

  1. I love being engrossed in a book, it’s the best ever. 🙂 i think the last book I read that totally engrossed me was Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. What is it with me and really long books? All my favorites are ones I can’t convince my friends to read because they’re so long! XD

  2. THIS WAS SO FUN TO READ!! I’m definitely going to have to do this soon! I absolutely LOVED the Sims and now you’re making me want to play again… My favorite thing was building a pool and having my sims go for a swim and then taking the ladder out…that’s kinda morbid, I know BUT IT WAS SO FUNNY. I also loved the sims gibberish and the music in the background..I used to watch the real housewives TV shows and I swear they used Sims background music in the show!!

    1. Yay! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Honestly, sims us great, and I totally feel you on removing the ladder. It’s kinda hilarious to watch them be utterly confused. I love listening to the simlish, and that’s so funny about the background music. The games really do have catchy music! 😄

      1. Hahaha I had almost the same experience, though I already disliked the 4th one a lot. Then I read what happened in the 5th one and I was like nope I’m out. This series had so much potential! It’s such a shame
