Month In Review | November 2015

NovemberI refuse to accept the fact that there is one month of 2015 left. I honestly don’t believe it, however that means it’s December and how I love December! The holiday season is upon us and I love everything (well, besides Sleigh Ride) about it.

BOOKS

What has happened to me? What has happened to my monthly book count? I don’t know where it went, so if you happen to find it, I’d love it back. Sadly, I read three books and one e-novella this month.

The books I read are…

  • The Reluctant Sacrifice by Kerr-Ann Dempster | Review
  • The One Thing by Marci Lyn Curtis | Review
  • Angels Twice Descending by Cassandra Clare (Tales from Shadowhunter Academy #10)
  • Scarlet by Marissa Meyer | Review

BLOGGING

This month was good for blogging, I got through some more of my random tags and awards (thanks everyone!) and I completely redesigned the look of my blog with a new theme and designs. It’s got a very sleek and clean look, which I love so I think I’ll stick with it for a while. Currently, only the last few months follow the theme and I haven’t decided if I want to go through ALL of my old posts yet…

I introduced a new meme on my blog this month (yesterday, so barely haha) Tea Time Talk! This feature is my discussion posts title and it will include discussions/stories related to really anything, bookish or not. I hope you all enjoy them and you can see the first one here.

Okay. Let’s talk about NaNoWriMo. I had a very sad attempt at NaNo this year, but I’m not upset about it at all, in fact, I’m glad I tried because I learned something about myself in the process. I go into more in depth here, but I learned that having a time constraint on my writing actually makes me less motivated to write, NaNo just wasn’t for me. However, to all of you who did participate in NaNoWriMo, whether you won or not, CONGRATULATIONS! You spent time and wrote, and that’s all that counts.

LOOKING AHEAD…

This month marks the end of 2015, which is crazy! I hope the new year brings better reading and fantastic new books to read. BUT, this month is Christmas, one of my favorite holidays! Do you have any fun plans for the holidays? Let me know!

As my ‘end of the year resolution’ I’m going to try to finish/catch up on as many series as I can this month and try to simply decrease my TBR pile a little bit before Christmas (which I’ll inevitably get books from) and the end of the year. Happy reading everyone!
